Mother of a Teen Mother

Learning that my teenage daughter was pregnant was very hard. It brought up so many issues, so many questions...so many insecurities. I wondered if her choice to have sex and her choice to keep the baby was an indictment on my parenting. Where did i go wrong? Ever since she was young, i brought my daughter everywhere with me. She silently listens, taking in information. Her silence leads others to believe she knows little. And at times she struggles with being okay with that. The danger in trying to appease or prove oneself to others leads her to feeling as though she must show what she knows. When what she has come to realize is that when one knows, one does.
